I am a fourth generation resident of the Gympie region, of Indigenous background. As a young man growing up in Gympie seeing the region impacted by floods, fires and natural disasters, I know the value of good Government that is there for you when times get tough.
I am running because I recognise the need for a better future, for our young people and for local families. I know the Miles Labor Government has a plan to help build this future here in Gympie, by supporting families with affordable housing, secure employment opportunities and investment in critical local infrastructure.
I am focussed on doing what matters including reducing the cost of living, addressing the housing crisis, improving local infrastructure and focussing on energy and community sustainability.
I grew up in housing commission and was the first in my family to graduate from university, my career has included working in the insurance & banking and employment & training sectors. I have also worked in the public service and provided advice to local community & health boards on programs and government policies. I currently work in a community stakeholder engagement role.
My experience has shown me the value of listening to people in the community, and the importance of aligning policy with community values. I understand the pressures of the cost of living and am focussed on achieving better outcomes for families, community and the Gympie region.
I’m proud to be running as part of a Labor team that is focused on delivering the services Queenslanders rely on, and helping Queenslanders every single day. The Miles Labor government has delivered record cost of living relief, continues to make record investments in frontline health services, housing and in the historic energy transition.
This is the team that will secure Queensland’s future for generations to come, and create opportunities right here in Gympie so that local families can share in the success of our state.
I would like to hear what is important to you so I will be available at market stalls and events around the region which I will publish here and on my Facebook Page. If you would like to keep up to date with the latest information and show your support, I encourage you to follow me.
